Included in the player registration fee is insurance cover with
Sportscover Australia Pty Ltd.
The following is for information purposes and is
to be used as a guide only.

The following is a brief summary of benefits payable
under this cover should a player be injured:
Major Injuries
• Cover of Persons Aged 18 years
& over $50,000
• Cover of Person
Aged less than 18 $10,000
• Irrecoverable
Loss of both hand or both feet or one hand & one foot 75%
of above
• Irrecoverable
Loss of one hand or one foot 35% of above
• Irrecoverable
Loss of sight in both eyes 50% of above
• Loss of all
sight in one eye 25% of above
• Total &
permanent disablement 100% of above with conditions
Medical Expenses
• A referral must be obtained
from a doctor.
• There will be no contribution
to charges covered by Medicare in whole or part.
• Claims must be notified within
30 days and lodged within 90 days.
• Injuries must be recorded
on the Score sheet or Injury Report Book. Team Managers hold forms
for this purpose.
• At Home Games
the Club utilizes the services of club member First Aid Officers.
• Benefits are only paid against
receipts
• Claims are subject to a $20
excess - maximum benefit payable is $1,200
• The benefit - 50% of the cost
of non Medicare/Health Act expenses incurred being in hospital,
Ambulance, Dental & Chiropractic
• Physiotherapy 75% of the cost.
Net Loss of Income
• Temporary Disability $250
per week or 75% of weekly income whichever is less10 day excess.
Maximum period of claim 52 weeks
